A Look at Fossil One Year Later

We recently discussed one of the securities we cover in the Intelligent Investor, pointing to the huge gains (more than 80% in the past 30 days). See here.

Here, we show an example of another freebie we gave away just over a year ago to subscribers of the Intelligent Investor.

We followed that up with a freebie in early August to EVERYONE.

Take a look at the article, "More Proof Wall Street Research is Useless" so you can get some background information on Fossil.

Note that Wall Street analysts (who completely missed the collapse in shares and in fact were very bullish) downgraded FOSL only AFTER the share price collapsed to $75 in early May 2012.

But our genius in residence, Mike Stathis (clearly the sharpest overall investment mind in the world) actually advised investors to stay away from FOSL until it collapsed to $75, and his gave this advice when shares were trading at $130 and DESPITE the fact that he discussed the fact that FOSL had great fundamentals and technicals.

And when FOSL soared to $93 after blowing away earnings in August 2012 (just 3 months later), while subscribers of the Intelligent Investor had bought shares at $62 to $75 in May, investors who listen to Wall Street missed out because analysts did NOT upgrade the stock prior to shares soaring.

Like ALL of Mike's written and video content, this video series will remain valuable forever due to the unique educational value Mike always adds to his publications.

Quite simply, we know of no other financial professional in the world who covers so many aspects of the investment process and gets so many things right. Experienced financial professionals understand this perhaps better than all others,
