This evening, President Obama delivered a 20-minute address announcing the end of combat in Iraq. Caving into pressure from critics who have continued to criticize Obama's numerous failures since entering the White House, Obama announced the need to focus more on the U.S. economy. Remember, according to the White House, Washington hacks and the Federal Reserve, the economic recovery is still underway. So then, do you really think Obama's announcement is what it really seems? In reality, Washington and the other members of the mafia understand that the recovery is little more than an illusion built on now-expired subsidies and a whopping stimulus package that has done little more than provide a temporary boost to the economy, while adding to the nation's long-term debt. Rule number one of common sense business planning: never add to long-term debt to finance short-term consumption. Yet, as I have stated many times since TARP was passed in late 2008, there will be many more stimulus packages over the next several years because Washington refuses to address the fundamental problems of the economy.
Obama's announcement (which was decided for him by his puppetmasters) has many purposes. First, it provides the impression that he is determined to fight the economic depression. As we have seen, Obama is about as committed to actually solving the economic problems as he was fixing Wall Street, holding those responsible for the multi-trillion real estate/securities Ponzi scheme accountable, restructuring free trade, and reforming America's broken healthcare system.
Second, Obama's announcement was inspired to give Americans the impression that troops will be withdrawn from Iraq. Of course, U.S. troops aren't ever leaving Iraq. I realized this within months of the invasion.
Image courtesy of: blackcommentator.com Iraq will become America's most formidable military base in the Middle East. While a gradual reduction of U.S. troops is likely, most soldiers will be redeployed to Afghanistan. However, I still expect a very large number to remain in Iraq, recategorized as military trainers and consultants, so that the White House can claim the combat troops no longer remain. This is nothing short of a lie.
I'm curious to see whether mercenaries such as Blackwater, CACI and others will remain.
As well, Obama's announcement allows him to reshift the focus on Afghanistan. As you may recall, I have mentioned on many occassions the real reason the U.S. is in Afghanistan; to clear the path for pipelines to the Caspian Sea. If you do not believe this to be true, I suggest you conduct your own independent investigation. Much to my surprise, I have even interviewed several former U.S. soldiers who fought in Afghanistan who were aware of this fact. Finally, and perhaps most important, this announcement might be in preparation for aiding any military attacks against Iran's nuclear facilities.
I will tell you this. If Israel or the U.S. attacks Iran, it will trigger WWIII. America's invasion of Iraq might well have already been the start. This won't really be known for many years.
