Part of the Problem With Healthcare in America....

A couple of weeks ago, I ran across a fantastic article by a physician who sought to understand why there are such large differences between healthcare costs in different cities. It's truly a great article, despite it's length.  I highly recommend you read it. 

Note that this is just one of MANY aspects accounting for America's healthcare problems.  And while some physicians certainly fit into the mold which Atul has identified as a contributor of high costs, there are many who do not.

In contrast, the drug makers and insurers are guilty across the board.

Any comments on the article? I know there are several subscribers who work in the healthcare industry, from physicians to administrators. I think it would be interesting to see everyone's response; including those who aren't in the industry.

Everyone has a personal story that has molded their views. But he/she who has a grasp of the full picture truly understands the problems.
